In 2018, the museum celebrated its 200th anniversary, marking two centuries of inspiring audiences with historical treasures and knowledge.
To strengthen its digital presence and create a more engaging experience for visitors, the museum sought a complete redesign of its website that would reflect its prestigious reputation and extensive collection.
Concept
We were tasked with developing the technical foundation and design for the new Rijksmuseum van Oudheden website. The goal was to create a modern, user-friendly platform that would serve as a digital gateway to the museum’s collection of archaeological treasures.
The website needed to seamlessly integrate the museum’s collection, online ticket reservation system, and library catalog, ensuring an intuitive and comprehensive user experience.
